Ready to Roll RTV520

Performance & handling, side by side

Kubota Australia’s RTV520 sets a higher standard in performance and comfort for drivers. The model builds on the proven RTV500 and sports a refreshed look, improved suspension and increased engine displacement. Kubota Australia Product Manager for Agriculture Mark Basile took us through all the features and benefits.

“When it comes to a reliable, and high performing, compact size utility vehicle for general use around the farm or worksite, you can’t go past our all-new RTV520.

“The RTV520 has a host of improvements and unique upgrades that sets it apart, including a reliable two-cylinder, liquid-cooled Kubota petrol engine. This is paired with Kubota’s exclusive Variable Hydrostatic Transmission, as well as dynamic braking for excellent downhill control – to keep you safe while getting the job done.

“The RTV520 has a sharp new look; its appearance is stylish and functional, just like the full-size petrol and diesel models in the Kubota RTV line-up.

“We start with a redesigned hood that features a new front grille, and improved headlight design. The optional front guard has been upgraded and finished in black. Small design touches, such as the updated graphics on the cargo tray, improve the look of the RTV520, rounding out an overall style package.

“Moving to the operator area, the new contoured seat foam density has been optimised to provide better comfort during extended use. There’s a new digital LCD, featuring hour and fuel meters, and the new combination meter is positioned on the dash, to allow for easy visibility while driving. An optional speedometer can also be fitted.

“One of the most noticeable upgrades on the RTV520 is improved suspension performance. The new suspension system provides a significant improvement in ride quality when travelling over uneven terrain. This is achieved through Kubota’s new five-link rear suspension system design that increases suspension stroke to enhance driveability.

“Power is always important, and the new Kubota petrol engine now has 17.4 hp, to provide a bit of extra grunt when you need it. In addition, the new engine runs quiet and smooth, with low vibration and noise. This is handy to note for applications such as council or golf course use or perhaps when coming home late after a long day.

“For those who refuse to compromise, the mighty RTV520 can tackle the toughest jobs with its 530 kg towing capacity and there’s plenty of choice when it comes to accessories, including the plastic canopy, windscreen, additional work lights, and winch. There’s also a new glove box kit that mounts under the steering wheel, providing extra storage for personal items.

“Drivers also can travel in style by fitting a set of polished black alloy wheels to enhance the overall look of the RTV520.”
